DAVAO CITY, July 30 -- A total of 588 beneficiaries in Mawab, Davao de Oro are set to receive assistance under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transportation (UPLIFT) program worth PHP1.1 million, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) announced Thursday.

"DSWD-11 continues to conduct payouts for the UPLIFT program in various parts of the region. Today, the distribution of assistance to qualified beneficiaries in the municipality of Mawab also commenced," the agency said in an online post.

Each beneficiary will receive PHP2,000 during the payout at the Mawab Municipal Gymnasium in Barangay Poblacion.
