Manila, Sept. 1 -- Minimum wage earners in Davao Region will receive the second tranche of the wage increase which was approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Commission (RTWPC) Region 11 last February effective Tuesday.

In a social media post, the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NPWC) under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said workers in the non-agricultural sector will now receive the full PHP30 wage adjustment, raising their daily pay to PHP540.

The first tranche amounting to PHP15 was effective last Feb. 25.

On the other hand, the second tranche amounting to PHP10 salary hike for workers in the agricultural sector is also effective on Tuesday, they will receive the full PHP20 pay hike. ...
