Manila, April 10 -- A total of 28 housing units were formally turned over to families displaced by the April 2022 landslide in Barangay Kantagnos, Baybay City, providing them with permanent homes four years after the disaster.
The city government led the turnover ceremony Friday in Barangay Maganhan, where the units -composed of seven quadruplex buildings- were constructed using local government funds.
Barangay Kantagnos was among the areas severely devastated by landslides triggered by Severe Tropical Storm Agaton. The entire village has since been declared a no-build zone, necessitating the relocation of all residents to safer areas.
