Manila, Aug. 2 -- Anti-drug operations in 24 hours over the weekend resulted in the confiscation of PHP22 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest one high-value drug suspect, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported.

The PNP news release said the largest accomplishment came from marijuana eradication operations in the villages of Loccong and Buscalan in Tinglayan, Kalinga, where joint operations led to the discovery, uprooting, and on-site destruction of approximately 94,500 fully grown marijuana plants valued at PHP18.9 million.

Although no cultivators were apprehended, the operations prevented the illegal crops from entering the supply chain and curtailed marijuana production in the area.
