Manila, April 24 -- Authorities arrested two individuals and seized some PHP20.4 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust Friday afternoon in this city, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA-9) said in a report.

PDEA-9 Director Bryan Babang said the suspects include a resident of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi and of Barangay Guiwan in this city.

Babang said the suspects were arrested around 3 p.m. along the bypass road in Barangay Cabatangan.

"Initial investigation showed the suspects claimed they were merely acting as couriers, following instructions from their uncle to deliver the illegal drugs," Babang said in his report.
