Manila, Sept. 24 -- A total of 150 coffee farmers from three associations in Malita, Davao Occidental have received more than PHP1.5 million in assistance under the government's climate and disaster resilience initiative, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD 11) said on Thursday.

In an online post, the DSWD 11 said each beneficiary received PHP10,200 under Project Local Adaptation to Water Access (LAWA) and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished (BINHI) during a payout held on Sept. 21-22, covering 20 days of community-based work.
