LEGAZPI CITY, July 1 -- The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) scheduled a 12-hour power interruption on Thursday, July 2, affecting several towns and cities in Albay.

In an online post, NGCP said the outage will affect the Washington and Bitano substations (5:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and Salvacion and Sta. Misericordia feeders 1 and 2 substations (6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) under the Albay Electric Cooperative (Aleco).

The power interruption at Washington and Bitano substations will enable load transfer, while Salvacion and Sta. Misericordia Feeders 1 and 2 will be shut down for preventive and corrective maintenance of high-voltage equipment at the Daraga and Sto. Domingo substations.
