12 Antique LGUs suspend classes due to heavy rains
SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, June 24 -- Twelve local government units (LGUs) in Antique suspended classes as of noon on Wednesday due to southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Francisco.
Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) chief Broderick Train said in an interview the province experienced heavy rains, which prompted the suspension.
"The LGUs suspended classes for both public and private schools from preschool to senior high school," he said.
The LGUs are Patnongon, Anini-y, Sibalom, Caluya, Tobias Fornier, Bugasong, San Remigio, Belison, Valderrama, Tibiao, Barbaza and San Jose de Buenavista.
