Manila, July 10 -- Eleven senior police officers, including the Philippine National Police (PNP) director for operations, have been promoted to higher ranks.

Based on a July 9 memorandum obtained by the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Friday, Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Penones, is set to receive his second star following his promotion to major general.

Police colonels Marlo Castillo, Glenn Lonogan, Gerry Ratunil and Rommel Rumbaoa will receive their first star after being promoted to brigadier general.

Meanwhile, six lieutenant colonels will be promoted to full colonels: Franklin Ortiz, Laurente Acquiot, Ronald Mendoza, Joel Castro, Rico Pangilinan and Vincent Bangwa.
