Manila, July 21 -- One hundred families in Barangay Ibabang Iyam, Lucena City, on Tuesday received Certificates of Entitlement (COEs), ending more than two decades of waiting for land tenure under Presidential Proclamation No. 436.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling led the awarding of the certificates under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

Issued in 2003, Presidential Proclamation No. 436 reserved a 4-hectare former airfield in the village for government facilities and housing for government employees and urban poor families.
