Manila, Sept. 12 -- Minimum wage earners in the National Capital Region (NCR) are set to receive a PHP60 daily wage increase, effective Sept. 26.

In a news release, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Wage Order NCR-28, published on Friday and taking effect after 15 days, raises the minimum wage for non-agricultural workers from PHP695 to PHP755 and for agricultural workers from PHP658 to PHP718.

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board - NCR issued the wage order following the established tripartite wage-setting process.

DOLE reminded employers to comply with the new wage rates once they take effect, assuring workers that the department will monitor implementation.
