Manila, Sept. 9 -- A huge part of the country will experience rains caused by the prevailing southwest monsoon or habagat, and the trough of Tropical Depression Krovanh (formerly Pilandok), the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said occasional rains will be experienced across Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro due to habagat.

Krovanh's trough will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms are also expected throughout Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Aklan, and Antique due to habagat.
