Mumbai, April 12 -- Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital yesterday following complaints of a chest infection and severe weakness, has passed away. She breathed her last on Sunday at the age of 92, sending a wave of grief through the music fraternity.
According to doctors, she was suffering from a severe chest infection compounded by physical exhaustion. Her condition was under constant monitoring following her admission to the hospital; however, despite medical treatment, her health failed to show the expected improvement. Her condition deteriorated suddenly on Sunday morning, and she breathed her last.
