Mumbai, July 28 -- The trailer of Batwara 1947 is finally out, marking Rajkumar Santoshi's return to the big screen with Sunny Deol in the lead. Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, the film is set to release on August 14, arriving during the Independence Day weekend. While the announcement had generated curiosity, the trailer itself doesn't quite live up to the expectations.

The biggest concern is its familiarity. In the last few years, Bollywood has revisited the Partition era multiple times. As a result, Batwara 1947 doesn't immediately feel like a fresh cinematic experience.
