Why your phone battery drains overnight while you sleep
India, Oct. 6 -- You charged your phone to 100% at night, and when you wake up it dropped 20 to 30% or more. Your phone may be doing more overnight than you realize. You went to sleep. Your phone didn't.
Even with the screen off, apps can refresh, sync data, back up photos and chats, and process notifications in the background. All of this can quietly eat into your battery and some common fixes may not actually help. Constantly force-closing apps, for instance, isn't necessarily the solution. Android and iOS already manage background apps. A better place to start is checking which apps are using the most battery and limiting unnecessary background activity.
