Why India's cloud control battle is bigger than data residency
India, June 29 -- Data sovereignty is moving beyond data residency. For enterprises, the real test is now whether security, policy, visibility, and control can follow workloads across private cloud, public cloud, edge, and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. In a recent interaction with Daryush Ashjari, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Solution Engineering, Asia Pacific and Japan at Nutanix, the discussion around digital sovereignty moved past the usual question of where data is stored. The view was clear: location matters, but sovereignty is now also about who controls the infrastructure, who can access the data, and whether policy can travel with workloads.
