India, July 9 -- Poor battery life has long been one of the biggest complaints about the iPhone, especially when compared with flagship Android phones that pack much larger batteries. A new regulatory filing suggests Apple could narrow that gap with a larger battery and its most efficient chip yet in the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Regulatory filings suggest the iPhone 18 Pro Max could pack a 5,567mAh battery in the US and 5,391mAh internationally, up from 5,088mAh and 4,823mAh on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
