India, March 17 -- Anime games don't get considered enough. Too often they come out with the same characters as past releases, great trailers, but little else. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will hopefully change this. On PlayStation 5 and Steam, Netmarble is promoting their next title as an open-world RPG with real-time party combat and co-op systems with platform-specific features that are more than just pretty pictures.
While the ambition for the project is more important than the value of a license, the most significant signal to date is not about the anime. It will be focused on Street Britannia as an area to explore rather than simply the location in which to complete storylines and boss battles.
