India, Sept. 28 -- The most important change in the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro is not simply the move to 2 nm. Both chips show how flagship smartphone processors are becoming tightly connected computing platforms built around CPUs, GPUs, neural processing units, memory, imaging, and always-on AI.

That shift changes how these chips should be judged. Peak CPU scores still matter, but performance per watt, sustained speed, memory movement, and specialized acceleration increasingly determine what users actually experience.
