Samsung 990 SSD launches in India with 7,250 MB/s speeds
India, July 16 -- Samsung has launched the Samsung 990 SSD in India, adding a new PCIe 4.0 NVMe solid-state drive (SSD) to its consumer storage lineup. The drive comes in 1 TB and 2 TB capacities and is designed for users upgrading desktops or laptops for gaming, content creation, and everyday computing. The company said the SSD will be available from the last week of July 2026.
The launch comes as storage requirements continue to grow, with modern games, creative applications, and high-resolution media files demanding larger capacities and faster performance.
