Roblox plans changes to how games are played built and monetized
India, Sept. 14 -- Roblox used its 2026 Developers Conference to outline a series of changes affecting how games are accessed, created, distributed, and monetized on the platform. The announcements include browser-based play, support for standalone apps, offline modes, new artificial intelligence tools, and changes to creator payments.
The updates suggest that Roblox is trying to reduce some of the friction between discovering a game, starting it, building new content, and receiving creator earnings.
