Nutanix NCI 7.6 breaks the HCI mold with Dell PowerStore
India, July 29 -- Nutanix is extending its infrastructure model beyond tightly coupled hyperconverged clusters. With Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) 7.6, organizations can now use Dell PowerStore as external storage while continuing to run virtual machines on the Nutanix AHV hypervisor and manage day-to-day operations through Prism.
The change matters because it separates two resources that do not always grow at the same rate: compute and storage. A company can add processor and memory capacity without buying more storage, or expand flash capacity without adding another compute node.
