India, June 24 -- Minecraft is getting a fresh splash of autumn, and it looks like a good excuse to leave the base for a long walk. Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 1 adds the Dappled Forest, a new Overworld biome filled with Poplar trees, falling leaves, Shelf Mushrooms, Red Shrubs, and Abandoned Camps.

The snapshot gives both explorers and builders something useful. There is a new biome to scout, camp structures to loot, and more blocks for cozy bases, survival builds, and custom maps. Since this is a Java Edition snapshot, players should test it in a backup world instead of risking their main save.
