India, Sept. 24 -- A Shortcuts automation can be created to activate when the iPhone is plugged in. The automation can then try to restore connectivity, obtain the iPhone's current location, take a picture with the front camera and send the information to the owner, if it has the appropriate permissions.

The concept has recently appeared on social media, including one post that demonstrates how to achieve the automation with Apple's Shortcuts app. There are also recent guides that have shown similar charger-triggered Shortcuts. It doesn't need its own anti-theft app, but it's worth noting that this is a user-made iPhone anti-theft Shortcut and not an Apple feature.
