India, Sept. 9 -- The iPhone Fold launch story is no longer just another rumour floating around the internet. For many years, Apple's foldable iPhone has been rumoured to be in development, but recent reports and the timing of Apple's September 9 event point to the possibility that the company's first foldable phone is finally close to reality.

Apple has not officially confirmed an iPhone Fold, iPhone Ultra or any smartphone for tonight's event. The company has only announced its September 9 "Surprise and shine" keynote, which begins at 10:30 PM IST in India.
