India, Sept. 14 -- Apple has taken another major step in its global manufacturing expansion. Reports indicate that flagship devices such as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max entered production in India ahead of their launch, involving Apple suppliers Foxconn and Tata Electronics. India is no longer limited to assembling older iPhones and is becoming an important production centre for newly launched flagship models.

But technology enthusiasts have found an interesting twist in the hardware. An iPhone 18 Pro Max sold in India is not necessarily identical to the version being sold in the United States.

The difference lies inside the phone and concerns one of its most important connectivity components: the cellular modem.
