iOS 26.6 could make suspicious messages harder to miss
India, July 14 -- A suspicious iMessage might soon do more than get flagged as spam. Code spotted in iOS 26.6 beta 5 hints at a new security warning that could alert users when a message looks like it might harm an iPhone or expose personal data. The feature has not shown up in action during public beta testing yet, so how it will work in real use is still unknown. Even so, the code suggests Apple is working on a more visible alert for higher risk messages instead of relying only on behind the scenes protections.
