Google could add a missing security feature to Android phones
India, May 29 -- A long-standing loophole in Google Play Store security may soon be closed, as Google could notify Android users when an installed app is removed or delisted from the Play Store. A removed Android app can no longer receive updates, increasing the risk of bugs, compatibility problems, malware exposure, and security vulnerabilities over time.
The feature was spotted in a pre-release version of the Google Play Store app, where code strings suggest alerts such as 'was removed from Google Play and will no longer receive updates.'
