India, May 18 -- Sucker Punch Productions has stated that additional content will not be released for Ghost of Yotei Legends in the future, ending the free co-op mode sooner than most players expected. Players who had hoped that Legends was just the beginning of an extended multiplayer experience for Ghost of Yotei will be disappointed by this news. The co-op mode was released on March 10, 2026, and the latest update, released, will be the final update planned for it. The servers for Legends remain active; however, the development of new content will not continue.

Lead designer Darren Bridges' words on the Raid update say it all: that was the last big one for Legends, putting a bow on the Yotei Six's story in the mode.
