India, Sept. 15 -- SEGA and Netflix are taking three very different gaming properties to the screen, and the mix says more about the partnership than the number of projects alone. A live-action Crazy Taxi comedy movie, a new Sonic the Hedgehog animated series, and a live-action Stranger Than Heaven crime film are now in development. None has a confirmed release date.

What makes the lineup interesting is that SEGA is not applying the same adaptation formula to every game. Each project has a different audience, tone, and storytelling challenge.
