Chrome on Android has a Gemini button you can replace here's how
India, Aug. 21 -- Gemini is moving closer to the center of Chrome on Android, but you do not have to give it a permanent place in your browser toolbar. Google lets users replace the Gemini shortcut with a more traditional Chrome function without uninstalling Gemini or disabling it elsewhere.
The distinction is important. Removing the shortcut is an interface change, not a removal of Google's AI assistant. Gemini remains available through its other entry points on the phone. The option is currently part of a gradual rollout to Android users in the US. If the Gemini icon does not appear in Chrome, the feature may not yet be available for your device or Google account.
