India, March 11 -- For many users, Chrome is basically the modern desk. It is where assignments get finished, products get compared, emails get drafted, and random tabs pile up like laundry. Google now wants its browser to do more than just keep up. On March 11, 2026, the company said it is bringing many of Chrome's latest AI features to users in India, including Gemini in Chrome, along with support for eight Indic languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil. Google said the broader rollout also adds support for more than 50 languages and will begin first on desktop and iOS.
