Its new ChatGPT Work agent can gather information from connected apps, complete multi-step projects, and produce finished documents while users review its progress. The main change is practical. People can assign a goal instead of handling every step themselves. ChatGPT Work can research information, analyze files, create spreadsheets or presentations, and continue working on longer projects for hours. It is powered by GPT-5.6 and uses technology first developed for Codex.
