India, Aug. 1 -- BMW India has opened prelaunch bookings for the new BMW 7 Series, with buyers able to choose between an all-electric model and an internal combustion engine variant.

Bookings opened at 12:30 on August 1, 2026. Customers can reserve the car through BMW's authorized dealer network or register their interest on the company's India website.

The electric version is the more important part of the announcement, as BMW positions battery-powered mobility alongside its flagship luxury sedan range. The company said the new 7 Series will feature BMW Neue Klasse technology and a digital user experience aimed at both drivers and passengers.
