Apple's new App Store rule may reclassify your favorite apps
India, July 10 -- Apple's next parental control update will reach beyond obvious social media apps. Games, entertainment services, and utilities with feeds or user-generated content may also face a 13+ rating and new screen-time controls. The change begins with new questions in the App Store Connect age rating questionnaire. Developers must now disclose whether their apps let users redistribute, amplify, discover, or interact with user-generated content through a feed or similar system.
Apple's new approach focuses on what an app does, not how its developer labels it.
