India, July 9 -- Apple is reportedly testing CXMT DRAM chips in selected devices meant only for the China market, a move the company has not publicly acknowledged. On paper, it's a response to the global memory chip shortage. But it could quietly create two versions of Apple hardware depending on where the device is sold.
