India, May 8 -- AMD's new Instinct MI350P PCIe GPU is aimed at enterprises that want to run AI workloads in their own data centers without rebuilding everything from scratch. Running artificial intelligence inside a company data center can sound like a neat plan. Then reality walks in with a clipboard: power limits, cooling needs, rack space, software work, and of course, cost.

AMD is trying to make that conversation a little less painful with its new Instinct MI350P PCIe card. The chipmaker says the card is built for standard air-cooled servers, giving enterprises another route between cloud AI and large dedicated GPU accelerator systems.
