India, Oct. 12 -- Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 has opened with a sharp rise in smartphone demand, with premium Android smartphone sales growing 70% year on year, according to Amazon India. The company also reported that customers ordered more than twice as many products as in the comparable period last year.

The early figures point to strong festive shopping activity on Amazon, including demand for premium phones and other electronics. However, the numbers reflect activity on Amazon.in, not the entire Indian smartphone market.
