Punjab, Sept. 27 -- In the 138th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister linked the 2016 surgical strikes, the 2019 Balakot air strike and Operation Sindoor as a single decade-long line of policy, and restated a "zero-tolerance" position on terrorism.
The anniversary behind it
The surgical strikes complete ten years tomorrow. They were carried out on the night of 28-29 September 2016, against launchpads across the Line of Control, eleven days after the Uri attack.
That timing explains the episode's framing. A decade is the point at which an operation stops being an event and becomes a doctrine, and that is how it was presented.
