Punjab, Sept. 29 -- The BJP held the first meeting of its newly appointed state in-charges and co-in-charges in Delhi on Tuesday. The agenda was organisation, assembly election preparation, and a review of how the party's own state governments are performing.
What the role actually does
A state in-charge is a central appointee who sits above the state unit without holding office in it. They report to the central leadership, arbitrate between state factions, and carry the high command's view into decisions the state president would otherwise make.
