Punjab, Sept. 9 -- Indian bridal makeup has moved toward what the industry calls skinimalism - a lighter base, a natural finish and a lit-from-within look rather than heavy full coverage. The segment has reported a roughly 40% rise in sales attributed largely to that shift.
What the look involves
Dewy skin with subtle highlighting, bold kohl-rimmed eyes and gradient lip colour are dominating across major cities, with warm tones - peach, coral and golden - leading the palette.
Tradition kept, technique changed
What is notable is what has not been dropped. Kajal, bindi and sindoor remain, paired with minimal bases and personalised colour. The change is in technique and finish rather than in the vocabulary of Indian bridal beauty.
