Punjab, Sept. 21 -- Raaka has set a Guinness World Record for the most people motion-captured in real time: 37 performers at once, against a previous mark of 19. The number was revealed on Monday, on director Atlee's 40th birthday, after days of teasing a mysterious "37".
What the record actually describes
Motion capture usually records performers a few at a time and assembles them later. Capturing 37 simultaneously means every one of them is being tracked live, in the same volume, reacting to each other rather than to a mark on the floor.
