Punjab, Oct. 23 -- India finished the Asian Para Games with 114 medals - 30 gold, 35 silver, 49 bronze - the country's best ever, and fourth on the table. On the final day alone it took 26 medals, and Sumit Antil led a clean Indian sweep of the javelin podium.

The scale of the change is clearer further back. India took 33 medals in 2014 and finished ninth in 2018 with 15 golds. Twelve years later it has 30 golds and 114 medals.
