Punjab, Sept. 22 -- Rohit Shetty has dated Golmaal 5 for 8 January 2027. Ajay Devgn returns as Gopal, Akshay Kumar joins the franchise for the first time, and Sharman Joshi comes back after nearly two decades.
The ensemble
Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor all return. Sharman Joshi's comeback is the one worth noting - he was in the original Golmaal in 2006 and has not been in the series since.
Akshay Kumar's character has not been described. Reports have speculated an antagonist, which is the role the franchise has historically used to bring in a star without disturbing the existing group dynamic.
