Punjab, Sept. 14 -- Five mainboard IPOs open this week alongside the NSE issue: Hero Motors, SS Retail, Jindal Supreme and Sonaselection among them. Trading resumed on Tuesday after Monday's Ganesh Chaturthi holiday.
A crowded book
Five mainboard issues in one week is heavy. It matters for a practical reason that has nothing to do with any individual company: retail and institutional money is finite in any given week, and five books open together split it.
Issues that go out in a crowded window are generally priced with that in mind. When they are not, the subscription numbers show it on the final day.
