Three releases, three platforms, two days
Streaming services used to stagger Hindi releases to avoid each other. They have largely stopped, because the competition that matters is no longer another platform's premiere - it is whatever else is on a viewer's phone.
What that produces is a slate where genre does more work than timing. A family comedy-drama, a dacoit thriller and a horror comedy landing within 48 hours are not really fighting for the same evening.
