Punjab, Sept. 21 -- Brent is trading near $104 after a three-day fall, with WTI below $100. Saudi Arabia is working to restore about half the East-West pipeline's capacity within days, and the full line inside roughly six weeks.
The repair timeline is the story
The pipeline was damaged by drone strikes on 11 September. It carries crude to the Red Sea coast and exists precisely so exports do not have to transit the Strait of Hormuz - which is why the shutdown moved prices as far as it did, to nearly $110 at the peak.
Half capacity in days changes the arithmetic. It does not remove the risk; it removes the tail.
