Punjab, Oct. 15 -- Amit Shah chaired the first BIMSTEC Home Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi, reported to have produced a Delhi Declaration 2026 on regional security. Separately, the Union Cabinet approved India's accession to the Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement.

The agenda covered terrorism, transnational organised crime, narcotics, radicalisation, human trafficking, illicit financial flows and cyber threats. It was held on 13 October.
