Nepal, May 11 -- The government has announced plans to move forward with constitutional amendments in coordination and consultation with political parties.

Presenting the government's policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year at a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Monday, President Ram Chandra Paudel said the government would identify common issues for constitutional amendment through dialogue and cooperation among political forces.

He stated that a discussion paper would be prepared to ensure equal ownership and representation of all classes, regions, and communities within the constitutional framework.
