Fiji, Oct. 2 -- Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is set to move a motion in Parliament today for the establishment of an 11-member Special Committee to scrutinise the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2026 and receive submissions from the public.

The motion is listed on today's Order Paper under Schedule 3 - Motions for Debate.

Under the proposed composition, Rabuka would chair the committee, with Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka serving as deputy chairperson.

Other named members are Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad, Siromi Turaga, Filimoni Vosarogo, Lynda Tabuya, Mosese Bulitavu and Leader of the Opposition Inia Seruiratu.
